Just make sure you buy a foundation that is oil-free, fragrance free and hypoallergenic!! I really like Mary Kay Foundation and it lasts all day without the drying out of the skin!!
If your skin is acne prone you should try makeup that won't clog your pores such as mineral makeup.
Estee Lauder or Jurlique, get pimples really easily but find those work wonders for me! You need to find a foundation that is not too oily, use powder also!!

Try merle Norman Aqua base, its got a great coverage and has zinc in it so it will help diminish the pimples. also its hypoalergenic opthomoligist tested dermatologist tested and allergy free. also great coverage! with a matte finish.
I love Estee Lauder and Clinique. I know they are a bit pricey but my skin is loving me for it. They don't dry out my skin either.
I have an oily T-Zone and I'm using LOreal's foundation. At least it doesn't aggravate the acne.
