Try washing your face with soap that is not scented and is non-comedogenic. If your face is super sensitive, I wouldn't use any of the normal face washes out there because the majority of them contain alcohol or salicylic acid in rather high volume which may be your problem. These acids and alcohol will dry out your skin if you don't moisturize right afterwards.
I'd personally recommend finding a cleanser that is only 2.5% to 5% benzoyl peroxide and then moisturizing your face immediately afterwards. If this still doesn't work, switch to what I use - Cera Ve or Cetaphil facial cleanser and matching moisturizer. Good luck.
