I am very pale ( i have pinky undertones i think) and i have dark brown hair, i dont break out with spots a lot but when i do its usually A LOT or just plain BIGBest foundation for dry, acne prone skin? preferrably by MAC, but ill accept others too :)?
MAC is really not good for acne or dry skin! I've been using MAC for ages now, so I know alot about it. Try buying a tinted moisturiser and a powder foundation, which created a flawless look (:
Or use a concealer/all over cover stick all over the skin, then use a powder foundation over top top, which too creates a flawless look (:Best foundation for dry, acne prone skin? preferrably by MAC, but ill accept others too :)?
I've been using MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation For 3 months now and haven't had any problems. I have the type of skin which can easily break out from the wrong things touching my face. But, what I would suggest to you is to firstly start washing your face twice a day, and maybe use Tea Tree or Simple face wash products. Moisturize daily and consider wearing either:
- MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 Foundation
- MAC Mineralize Satin Finish SPF 15 Foundation
- MAC Select SPF 15 Foundation
These ones are quite goo and leave you with a clear matt finish.
*Drink Loads Of Water a day to flush the toxins out of your skin.
Good Luck

I'm a makeup artist. And this is my opinion on great foundations for dry skin.
Just a quick tip your skin may not be acne prone it may be that you don't deep clean your face brushes before they go to your face. I only recommend spot cleaning if you are working on many people
at once and you really need that brush asap. Otherwise I only spot clean my eyebrushes.
I would first off recommend studio sculpt it has all essential oils so your skin will stay hydrated. But the only downside is this foundation looks flawless... but it broke me out and I have pretty normal skin... I don't break out often either. I do use this in the summer for special events. It won't do anything to me if I wear it for 1 day. If I wear it 2+ days in a row I will notice bumps on my face.
The second Mineralize satin finish spf 15
I recently got introduced to this (and I use studio fix fluid) I'm in love. IN LOVE. It's such a dewy finish and goes on soooo nicely. It's medium coverage but you can build it up to full and you feel like you got nothing on your face. It stays on all day though! (I use a face primer though the one by gosh)
Now whatever you do. Do not get a foundation that is thick (i:e studio fix fluid or studio tech) your dry skin will make it look cakey, and just not right.
If you wan't mac those are the two I recommend. (:
I set my foundations with MAC MSF NATURAL in dark (even though I'm an nw20 ;P it's a sheer bronzer/a setting powder in one. I just skin a step.)
The best foundation (I use this too) for dry skin though it's very pricy, but very good. It's chanels pro lumiere. I like mat lumiere too but I would push that to a person who has more oily skin because it leaves a matte finish, but if you want a dewy finish the pro one is great. (:
I have the exact same skin. I use Studio Fix Fluid in NC15 (its the lightest they make, you can add moisturizer to it if it is not light enough). It doesnt make me break out and sometimes I forget to take it off at night. The key IS washing it off every night and using a light moisturizer and drinking lots of water.
you can go to a mac store or to the counter in nordstroms or macys and get color matched for free. But dont let them pressure you into buying stuff you dont want to buy. If you have the money to blow get the mac Matte and FIX + makes your skin almost PERFECT!
Good luck
I don't do MAC, but I do Coonobabe
use their Savila base:

plus they do free shipping
before you apply any makeup, do what I do, like yourself I also have oily skin I use their Pepino cleanser followed by their Manzanillo toner. This simple prep before makeup helps alot in solving the acne problem. At least for me it does. so you may want to take that into consideration as well.
Try Clarins Truly Matte Foundation, it's fabulous. Clarins is an all plant extract line, similar to mineral make ups. Or try Estee Lauders nutrious liquid foundation, it is fabulous!!! I have acne prone skin as well so these are just some foundations I recommend you try out!
MAC is amazing for foundation for skin like yours.
i use this one which gives me a light but strong./heavy good coverage its called studio sculpt spf by mac.

if you dont like it you could try a powder to liquid one- they are good.
and minerall foundations good too :)
good luck
MAC isn't good for acne-prone skin. If you go into Sephora, they will find the right foundation for you, but don't let them sell you something you don't absolutely love. Also, give them a price range so they don't try to sell you something that is way out of your price range.
Stay away from MAC if you have acne.
MAC was developed for photo shoots with models - so it was meant to be washed off after an hour or so when the shoot was done. MAC will clog up your skin REALLY badly.
I used to use it myself and got acne, but when I stopped it got a lot better.
I know u said Mac but would look into others so i wanted to recommend Dinair Airbrush Makeup..if u just google Dinair you'll find their site...ive been using Dinair for 2 years now and im crazy about it!! It makes my skin look flawless and smooth and it also last all day, which is great! Its also all water based so its not bad for ur skin. I really really love it...so i always tell people about it! Hope i helped...=)
Nars liguid foundation.
bare minerals is really good and not bad for the skin
