My acne has now become flat, so they are not bumps anymore, but you can still see the redness little, I just need a good foundation that gives good coverage and isn't too heavy.
What would you recommend?I have dry, acne-prone skin. What is the best foundation?
Hi there,
Here are some great foundations I have purchased from the brands above:
Rimmel London:

L'Oreal:

Maybeline:

Max Factor:

Revlon:

They are all liquid but if you don't go for liquid there are powder ones. They are great quality and don't give you a flaky look at all.
Hope this helps.
Natalie xI have dry, acne-prone skin. What is the best foundation?
Well, most importantly, if you have dry, acne prone skin, you'll want a good moisturizer that won't break you out. Cetaphil Moisturizing cream would work wonderfully on you-- It's very moisturizing, but it won't break you out.
Once you've got that all settled, I'd definitely recommend a non-comedogenic liquid foundation, since they tend to be a little bit more moisturizing. People around here swear up and down that Revlon Colorstay is amazing, so maybe give that a go?
I have tried different ones, and the best one i found was maybelline foundation, just make sure you dont apply too much or it can be gross. one or two squirts is enough for me. i use a sponge usually, but i just got my nose pierced so i've just been using clean hands so i can be more careful about not getting it near the piercing, and it works just fine. im not sure if you have almay or not, but thats my favorite for face powder, you need a good brush to apply it, but its really good and light (the mineral one) and its around 10 dollars here, which would translate to about 16 pounds (i think you ahve pounds there?) sorry if you dont. but if you have a boots there they have really good inexpensive mineral powder. a compact is easiest, but loose powders are usually the mineral ones.
make sure to wash your face, then apply cream, and a little bit of sunscreen before you start, it really improves skin condition. and you wont have as much wrinkles when you're older. make sure your makeup is COMPLETELY off when you go to bed. or you'll wake up with terrible acne/pimples/etc.
hope this helped!
Use an air whipped foundation, or a hydrating foundation. Maybelline has this really nice mousse foundation that just came out. If you can't find these where you live, just use a moisturizer before you apply your foundation. make sure the moisturizer isn't greasy, it could ruin your makeup and make your face feel weird.
Good luck!
um.. i am really not a good source of wisdom for this, but quite often i listen to the advice of michelle phan on youtube.

hope that helps.
You don't have to get Bare Minerals, drugstore brands have mineral make up, also. I know that Maybelline has some.
But as I can see you DO have a computer and an internet connection. Buy some stuff online. Sephora.com.
you say you cant get bare minerals is that because you dont have a surrounding store? If not then try www.ulta.com and shop online. Bare Minerals is the best.
make sure w/e u use is oil free.
