Probably, not only would it benefit your skin, it would benefit your self-esteem as well, which is sometimes more important. I was also in your boat and I had to go on accutane to rid myself of my horrible acne. The process seemed to take decades and then when my skin was somewhat healing I underwent a citric-acid-type dermabrasion. Even that was hell, but OMG, I LOVE me now! So, get advice from numerous professionals in that field before you do anything permanent like that, but I have nothing but pros for anything that can help your skin! And I did the citrus-acid thingy two times a week, I think if I remember correctly, and because my skin was red and raw, they gave me a thick cream to put on my skin on my ';off'; days. Good luck!I have acne prone skin and some surface acne scares on my face, would microdermabrasion benefit my complexion?
1. Never touch your face with your hands unless you just washed them!!!
2. Use a deep cleanser every night before going to sleep. Very Important to clean your face Well before you sleep.
3. Rinse off the cleanser with water, and wipe the face with a mixture of 2/3 Rosewater and 1/3 Witch-hazel. Witch-hazel is a Natural astringent.
4. Apply a light moisturiser sparingly so as Not to block the pores. Your pores need to be clean and able to breathe in order to be healthy.
5. Do that every morning (to protect the skin from dust) ... and every night (to nourish the skin).
6. Take 4grams (4,000mg) Vit-C -
Vit-E (to heal the blemishes) and
B-complex to soothe
I would Not recommend Microdermabrasion as that will make your skin more prone to infection, as the skin will be sooo very raw. Don't do it Until your skin is totally free of acne.
No Medical practitioner will recommend high doses of Vit-C ... even though it is the Best 'medicine' for Acne. They rather give you poison medication (such as anti-biotics = very, very bad for your system!!)
Vitamin supplements are best for acne :)
It depends. If you have severe acne in your face, microderma will only make it worse. But for acn scars, microderma does wonders. You can have professional treatments or you can try one of the many at home kits available. I have been doing both for the 4 years and my face looks really nice.
Yes, it will help.
Microdermabrasion:
In Microdermabrasion, very tiny particles are thrown on the skin at high speed to remove the dead layer of skin cells and loosen the whiteheads and blackheads. This procedure should not be used on inflamed acne.

You didn't say how old you are so its hard to tell.
try your doctor if its that bad he ay be able to give you some thing for it
Please see a Dermatologist and get expert advice. There are a variety of good treatments available but don't rely on Yahoo Answers to get your medical advice. Too many ';crackpots'; are more than willing to share bad advice that can prove very dangerous or damaging to you and your skin.
In addition to the ';love yourself'; replies (which you should! :D ), to answer your question microdermabrasion may help as will glycolic/AHA/BHA peels in reducing the appearance of acne scars. However ensure that if you want to get it done then ensure it's done by a professional rather than a home kit. They are different products and can have reduced potency (for instance dermatologists are allowed to use up to 40% glycolic whereas by law home kits can only carry around 10%). I only say ';professionals'; as it is not only dermatologists who can be qualified to perform microdermabrasion/peels.
Yes. Consult a physician who does microdermabrasion.
