I am using benzoyl peroxide for my severe acne.I was told to moisturise with jojoba oil after applying the treatment. Now my face is breaking out even worse.I have natural oily skin and it seems any kind of oil i put on my face(whether organic or refined)increases my acne. What i'm i doing wrong? All the oils are breaking me out;coconut oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil, shea butter, all the oil are causing my cystic acne to get worse. My face wash is also drying my face out.Jojoba oil increasing acne prone skin?
Well, try tea tree oil. It is the best of all the oils. This type of oil is not like the others, it doesn't clog your pores. It actually removes excess oil and dries out oil clogged pimples. Tea tree oil has been known for that, and that's why many people have been using it and they all say it works beautifully to remove all pimples and zits. Here's the proper way to apply tea tree oil on:
1. Wash you skin thoroughly and pat it dry with clean towel.
2. Wrap an ice cube in a washcloth and hold it over the spot for a minute or two; it'll help bring down the swelling.
3. Dip the end of a cotton swab into some diluted tea tree oil (available at any pharmacy, and trust me, this oil was meant for the skin!) and dot a tiny amount directly into the pimple.
4. Leave it alone to heal. Don't pop, pinch, or squeeze pimples, it will only make it worse.
Also, you can dab a bit of alcohol, lemon juice, toothpaste, or vinegar to pimple before going to bed each night. When you wake up the pimple will be gone. This is because lemon juice, alcohol, toothpaste and vinegar will dry the oil out of pimples.Salt mixed with some water also works. Apply the mixture directly into the pimple.
This works SOOOO well! I'm not kidding, and you got to try it!
And, tomato juice works too... you cut the tomato into slices and use it like a cleansing pad; rub it around your face and on pimples and pat dry with towel. You can make it into a natural exfoliating pad by sprinkling some sugar on the surface of the tomato slice and rubbing it all on your face.
Because acne is caused by oil clogged pores, people with oily skin experience blemishes more often. Here are some tips for controlling oily skin:
~ Twice a day, wash with a mild facial soap for oily skin.
~ Lightly exfoliate (never scrub) the whole face.
~ Moisturizing is not necessary everyday, but even oily skin can feel dry. If your skin feels tight, use an oil free moisturizer.
~ For breakouts use a product with AHA, such as Alpha Hydrox.
~ Use products that are oil-free and say they won't clog pores.
~ Sprinkle juice from a pineapple, lemon, or orange into your bath water to keep oil under control.

i think you really need to see a dermatologist here... if your skin is naturally oily then you shouldn't use an oil based moisturiser. also don't forget to tone. once again using products for oily skin and oil free. a dermatologist will recommend you good products, perhaps even perscription products
